About Polychrome Jasper:

Polychrome Jasper — also known as Desert Jasper — is a type of Jasper found mainly in Madagascar. It’s instantly recognizable for its beautiful, earthy patterns and swirls of color, often displaying a mix of terracotta reds, sandy browns, soft creams, greys, and occasionally hints of teal or blue. Each piece is truly one-of-a-kind, with natural, flowing bands that resemble landscapes or brush strokes of desert scenery.

This unique stone was first discovered in 2006 in Madagascar while miners were searching for Ocean Jasper. It forms in large nodules within the earth, and its stunning variety of colors is created by the different minerals present during formation. The name “polychrome” means “many colors,” perfectly describing the vibrant and diverse nature of this gemstone.
