Pink Amethyst is a variety of Amethyst that gets its colour from natural impurities in the quartz crystal. The impurities can be either iron (Hematite) or manganese, which give the stone its unique pink hue. Pink Amethyst is a relatively rare form of Amethyst that has grown in popularity rapidly over the past few years. Pink amethyst hasn’t always been part of the crystal game. It’s a new stone that was first discovered in the year 2019, in the El Chiquada region of Patagonia, Argentina. This Amethyst becomes pink as a result of inclusions of Hematite within the crystalline structure. Pink Amethyst can be found in several locations, including Brazil, Uruguay, Russia, and the United States. We source most of our Pink Amethyst from Brazil.
