Ocean Jasper is a multi-colored stone from Madagascar, known for its colorful patterns. Although often called Orbicular Jasper, recent studies suggest it's a type of Chalcedony. Under a microscope, its flower-like patterns are formed by fibrous Chalcedony spherulites within Quartz and Chalcedony grains. Some pieces may feature Agate banding or druzy Quartz crystals. Ocean Jasper is exclusively found in the Analalava district of northwestern Madagascar, collected through shallow surface mining.
